Future Enhancements in Titan Backup

You're probably wondering on what is the Titan Backup development team working on right now?
What are the new features they we'll add in the next versions ?

In addition to the small improvements and bug-fixes we're releasing with our weekly minor builds, we're working on 3 major projects for Titan Backup.

1. Online Backup.

We're going to offer Online Backup services, on a subscription basis, with web-access interface and centralized control for multiple computers sharing the same account. The hardware infrastructure will be powered by the fast and reliable Amazon S3 storage service. This will be the main feature in Titan Backup 3, and is intended for home users and small-medium businesses that don't have the resources for managing their own FTP server. It will also be a great addition to our Business Solution as it will allow off-site computers to backup in a central storage place.

2. Disk Image

We were getting more requests from users asking for a disk imaging feature, which will save raw data from a drive (sector-by-sector). We think that this would be a great addition to Titan Backup. With this features you will be able to save your operating system drive and create bootable copies of it ( and of course restore it in case of a disaster). This will be the fastest recovery solution. It has however the disadvantage that it will backup everything ( even what you don't need ) and probably take a long time for big drives. It would be best used in conjunction with the current file/registry/programs settings backups. This is a big project, we currently don't have an estimated release date but we hope to have a beta version ready in a couple of months.

3. Community

We're also building a community that will allow the users of Titan Backup interact with each other, share ideas, their own backup setup, tips & tricks, articles, videos or pictures. We plan to launch the Community at the same time with the online backup services.

We encourage you to send us new features request that you would like to see in Titan Backup. We'll carefully consider all your suggestions.

Vista Integration

A cool feature would be an integration of the backup state in the \"Previous Versions\" list for files and folders under Vista. Personally, disk image is not important, there are already so much other software solution.
