Using the Duplicate Task feature to quickly create a new Task

Let's say you create a new Backup Task using Titan Backup... You carefully select the folders you need to back up, some registry keys, emails and application settings. After spending some time choosing everything that will be backed up, you spend some more time selecting a LAN destination with password. On top of that you choose to do an incremental backup with compression and password. After this you think it would be great to have your Task run automatically so you choose some scheduling options too. To finish it all, you think it would be good to be notified by email about how the Task's execution ends so you enter an email address and then check the options that enable email notification and finally you click Finish.

After a few days, it hits you: why wouldn't I have the same Task back up my files not to a LAN destination but to a local folder? Yeah, but how? Titan Backup doesn't allow selection of multiple destinations. Well then, go through all the steps described above and instead of a LAN destination choose a local destination...
Stop! There's another way!

Yes, there's another easier and quicker way... It's called Duplicate Task! "What? What's that?" you might ask. Well, it's a small but pretty cool feature which will reduce all the steps described above to a few clicks. All you need to do is go to the My Tasks window, select the Task you created earlier, click the Task menu in the top-left corner of the window and then click the "Duplicate Task" menu item. A new Task will be added to the list only with another name. If the original Task's name is "MyBackup" then the new Task's name will be "MyBackup1". Now all you have to do is select the new Task, click Edit Task, change the destination and click Save. There you have it... A Task with the same source and settings as the original only with a different destination.

It might not look like such a big deal but you might find it useful one day :) Happy duplicating!
